We are a community-focused and community-owned co-operative society, with a proud history in the Mullumbimby area since 1955.
The Mullum Co-Op was initially created to encourage farmers (including livestock, dairy, sugar owners etc) to increase buying power as a collective and build community spirit. Highly regarded as an organisation for the people, the Co-Op is a rural hub for products, advice and community. ‘Growing with you’ is our passion, purpose and guiding principle.
At Mullum Co-Op we value honesty and authenticity, hard work and straight talk.
And we know our customers are the same.
In our operations, we strive to always stay true to who we are, what we do and who we serve.
We understand the importance of farming to our community, and we aim to help strengthen, build and share an eco-culture that will promote local and ethical farming practices.
We are focussed on creating a community of like-minded people to learn and grow together.
We aim to help our community create the best produce, maximise yields, improve commercial viability and facilitate the sharing of knowledge for the benefit of all.
We aim to create a culture of learning through collaboration and engagement. Through continuous learning, we want to help our community realise its full potential.
We’ve partnered with Tuckers to create an improved online shopping experience for our members. Please use the link below to access the new online store for direct delivery or click-and-collect at the Mullum Co-Op.
Whether you have a large industrial farm, small hobby farm, you are an animal enthusiast or simply trying to grow plants and vegetables in your back yard, we have a variety of products and information to help.
Members are the heart of our community
As a member, you will benefit from an annual rebate* applied as a credit to your account as well as a membership card that enables you to make purchases from the Co-Op including fuel after hours.
All membership applications require approval by the Board. The cost of membership is currently $200, which gives the new member a holding of 200 shares, each share worth $1.
